Bremner Departs for Melbourne

We regret to announce that, due to professional circumstances, inaugural Perth Thunder forward Jonathon Bremner will depart the team, effective immediately.

"It's been a great seven years in Perth" Bremner said. "I never envisioned playing for any other team, but my career outside of hockey has taken me elsewhere."

Jonathon will take up a job in Melbourne, and will play for the Melbourne Ice in the upcoming 2019 AIHL Season and beyond.

"I got offered a great job in Melbourne, and the Ice have been really accommodating," Bremner said. "I wish I'd landed a good job in Perth, but Melbourne will be fun."

"Perth will always be home; I'll be back at some point in the future."

The Perth Thunder would like to sincerely thank Jonathon for his contribution through 162 AIHL games. We wish him all the best for his career within and outside of hockey, and hope to see him back in a Thunder uniform some time in the future.
