Perth Thunder will celebrate NAIDOC 2019

Perth Thunder are proud supporters of NAIDOC Perth and increasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation in our wonderful sport Ice Hockey.

On Saturday 29th June at 4.00pm Perth Thunder will celebrate NAIDOC 2019 “Voice Treaty Truth - Let’s work together for a shared future”

at our home game against Adelaide Adrenaline.

The team will be wearing jerseys designed by aboriginal artist Aaron Sutton which will be auctioned off during the game and presented at the end of the game. Indigenous artist designed pucks will be available for purchase.

We will be joined by NAIDOC Perth chairperson Dr Glenda Kickett, a proud whadjuk balladong nunygar woman and local whadjuk nunygar man Samuel Pilot Kickett who will offer a welcome to Country at 4.15 prior to the game commencing. We will be joined by Noongar radio who often feature interviews with the team.
